Agave Broadband Acquires Cibola Internet

                  In its continuing effort to expand its price-competitive, reliable, high-speed wireless broadband offerings to New Mexico residents and businesses, Agave Broadband has acquired Cibola Internet based in Grants.  The combination of the two companies will create a wireless connectivity provider that will eventually cover the majority of New Mexico residents and have a competitive pricing structure especially when compared to the big-brand internet providers.

                  “This acquisition places Agave Broadband in a position to be the major provider of wireless connectivity in New Mexico,” said Les Matthews – Agave Broadband Director.  “This is just the first step in our long-term strategy to make Agave a household name in Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and in the majority of rural New Mexico.  Cibola was one of the pioneers of wireless internet services and provided dial-up and DSL at the early stages of the internet revolution.”

                  Agave Broadband currently provides high speed wireless broadband internet service to the East Mountains from Edgewood to Mountainair.  The acquisition of Cibola will expand the company’s current service area to Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Los Alamos and Grants.
